6.19.18. Today on the blog, Nata Bird Sanctuary in photos. We were up in Nata last month for an amazing visit to that area and we camped at the bird sanctuary, a community owned trust that is an important migratory stop-over for many species. We were a bit late for the big migrations, but we did see lots of amazing scenery and lots is species, including this yellow-billed stork. Link in the bio. There were so many awesome vehicles to see at Overland Expo East, not the least of which were the Land Rovers. For your viewing pleasure:

Oh, and P.S. – we got to drive one on the Land Rover Overland Skills & Awareness course (that smile you see is the result of my first experience with off-road driving. Who knew I wanted a Land Rover?):

I love those old Defenders. Before I bought my Jeep, I looked around to see what it would cost me to get 110. In the end I determed I couldn’t afford a 110. I could have gotten a nicely restored 90 for about the same money.

    1. I don’t know what it is, but something about a Land Rover just screams “ADVENTURE!” (at least the older ones).
